Cinema Verite receives over 100 Iranian docs

More than 100 Iranian documentaries have been registered for the Cinema Verite Film Festival in Iran.

Some 20 days after the call for entries, the secretariat of the 17th edition of the event has received more than 100 Iranian documentaries.

Among the works, as usual, most of the works that have reached this edition of the festival are documentaries with social themes.

The Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) organizes the festival every year which showcases the very best of the documentary world to bridge the gap what they term between reality and truth.

The Cinema Verite has several sections, including National, International, and Martyr Avini Prize, Entrepreneurship Documentary Competition, Coronavirus Special Section, Side Sections and commemorations.

The international section of the festival contains several non-competition sections such Special Displays, Mirror of a Festival, Portrait and Perspective of One Country Documentary Cinema.
